This is my first e-bike. I did a lot of research on e-bikes under $2k and decided to buy an Aventure 2 for my birthday. It has been so much fun! I love the torque sensor and the different levels of pedal assist. I also enjoy the throttle to get going from a stop or mid hill. The step through model makes getting on the bike much easier. I put it together and immediately went on a 10 mile bike which only drained ~40% of the battery on a very hilly area. I was smiling the whole way. I had to adjust the front brakes so they didn’t rub but everything else works great out of the box. If you’re on the fence like I was just go for it! It came charged with 70% battery so I was able I go ride it immediately. Shipping time said 2 weeks but it arrived in 3 days. Looking forward to my accessories arriving, the shock absorbing seat should help smooth out the rides.

Battery

I am 72 years old. I needed to start moving more so decided on an Ebike. Aventon was my pick. Aventon help suggested the **** tire step thru Aventure 2. They nailed it. I live 3 miles up a gravel road before i get to any paved county roads. From there it is an additional 6 miles into town A nine mile ride with an 800 ft drop. The Aventure 2 does it very well, while giving me the exercise I need. Round trip of 18 miles leaves the battery at 85 to 87% depending on the wind. And it always blows around here. I always peddle so cannot comment on how much battery would be used if I just ran on motor power. I suppose I should test it and see but that kind of defeats the purpose of getting the bike in the first place. I got the large frame as I am right at the line for either frame at 5'10". My feeling at this moment, after 150 miles, if I was doing it again i would go the small frame. That however is so inconsequential that it affect this review not at all. The front forks have excellent suspension the rear tire however is hard to the frame. I will be adding a suspension seat post in the near future as that first three miles can get a bit uncomfortable before I hit the county road. This is a small thing. I did add a set of panniers for hauling groceries and mail on my trips to town, which I am up to 3 times per week now, but that is the only addition I have made. The Aventure 2 comes very well tricked out. I ride the Echo mode all the way down to town and the Sport or Turbo mode climbing back up to my house. If you are in a similar situation as mine and are trying to figure which Ebike is best for you I cannot give this bike too many superlatives, Build quality, standard features, price, I just do not think any other company can fill these requirements as well as the Aventure 2 by Aventon. This is an honest review and I give Aventon 5 stars.

Great Battery!

I'm not going to lie. I am hesitant to do good reviews because it seems like every time I do, it all falls apart. However, I have to go with my product experience and my overall experience with Aventon-to both I give an A+. After test driving this bike at a local retailer, I knew there wasn't another option that would meet my expectations. I wanted the grey color, bur didn't want rmti wait and the blue is pretty. My two biggest issues with the bike in general are very correctable- Hand placement (no matter where they are positione) are unnatural to the wrists and only modifications can correct that issue. Very easy correction. The display is mounted in the middle which I am sure could be mounted to the side, but I don't want to risk breaking the mounts to do that. Since most handlebar bags are mounted to the center, the display interferes with that. I found just using a cellphone holder on the handlebars and a good rear mount bag works great. For my purposes, I also added a suspension seat post (which I intend to upgrade at a later date). I do wish throttle would go a little faster, but I know then the class is not able to remain street legal. It goes as fast as I want to pedal. No ghost pedaling, but you have to watch the boost if you go up to mode 3 as it gives you a rapid boost at times (depending on your pedaling). I think it is also important to point out that I have seen a lot of reviews from people saying they have a hard time pedaling in manual due to the heaviness and **** bike tires. I am 5'8, female (normal build) and have had no problem pedaling it on all 8 gears in manual mode. I feel very confident in my ability to use this as a regular bicycle for at least paved trail and minor off road pedaling. If you want to have a variety of riding options, this is the bike to get.

The free battery helped swing the deal for me. We've taken 5 or so rides and the battery performance is good. We do pedal quite a bit so the battery lasts quite long.

Works just as well as the original...for free! What's not to love.

I had bought the Level 2 and it was too big. Pace fits much better.

Terrific all around ! Highly recommend the Aventon Level2 with torque sensor!! The free additional battery is also a great value!

I have been out getting gardening and construction supplies bungees hook onto it anyway I need. Like having a little pickup truck.

The packaging of the ebikes was excellent. The video assembly instructions were good, although a little outdated, but was still able to perform assembly in a short time. There were a few tweaks along the way during assembly but no major problems. The batteries came partially charged and the charging time is very reasonable. I did receive both free batteries, the only issue being the one for the Aventure.2 did not come with the battery cover and I feel it should have. The level.2 extra battery came with the cover.
On the trails the ebikes perform very well and the PA is excellent. Range is very good in PA 1 or 2. We have been out a few times and it has been great fun. Very pleased with both ebikes and the Aventon customer service. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Looking forward to updates in technology in the future!

Purchased two Level 2 bikes this spring and are enjoying them immensely.our dealer was excellent to work with, your promotion with the extra battery was also a motivator. Received one free battery but not the second one yet!

Couldn’t pass up the deal for the free battery. Matching colored covers are $15. Not sure if this is true for everywhere, but a signature was required upon delivery.

As a lifetime weekend warrior I have all of the usual back aches and pains. Riding at the higher speeds of my E bike definitely add to the problem. I gotta say that immediately after installing the seat post shock I fell in love. Just buy it….worth every penny.

I had to look up YouTube video to ensure I properly installed (ie how to pop off the end of the handle bar) other wise, very easy to install. Very clear mirror. Game changer in my commute.

With the market flooded with e-bike manufacturers, I was concerned to say the least. Even when you try to research what bike is the best, you have to worry that the person writing the article is biased or that it’s really just advertising for a particular company. Fortunately for me, I was lucky and chose the right company and a great bike. It was packaged well and fairly easy to assemble. I bought it for my son who is graduating this year and I am seriously considering buying another one for me. The bike drives and handles great. Top speed for me on a level surface is about 21mph and it definitely makes climbing hills fairly easy. Definitely recommend this bike to anyone - especially if you don’t want to spend north of 2K!

My Level 2 is so much fun to ride. No more fear of approaching hills. Having an extra battery makes longer trips possible and can be strapped to the rear rack that came with the bike. Customer support is exceptional too!
